Engines and Machining

Raby's Aircooled Tech Jake Raby has been rebuilding aircooled engines for years. Spend a few minutes on his website and you'll be drooling for an "Aircooled Technology" engine. Jake did a Type IV engine teardown and rebuild on Volume 8 of the BugMe Video series.
LN Engineering If you're planning on building the coolest-running, longest-lasting aircooled engine, you definitely want to check out LN Engineering's Nickies and Biral Babies. Hopefully someday I'll be able to afford them. Damn. Lifetime Warranty too!
Rimco Whether you need machining, align boring, or engine parts, RIMCO is the place more aircooled VW fans trust than any other shop.
VW Paradise VW Paradise is located in San Marcos, CA. They offer race-proven machine work and engine rebuilding. There is no online order form for parts, but an e-mail address and phone number is provided.
The Bug Patch The Bug Patch specializes in head machining, and their site has LOTS of info -- details on how they do things there, including graphs of how their work increases airflow. They also sell VW specialty tools.
